What’s it Like to Use a Birth Center?
-
Our beautiful birth suites will have clean linens, blankets, and towels waiting for you when you are ready to give birth. When you and baby are ready to leave, we take care of the laundry, so you can focus on recovery and bonding at home.
-
If you already have children and/or are sharing your home with other adults, birthing at Trillium House gives you the opportunity to decide who to invite to share the birth experience with you, beyond your midwife and birth assistant.
-
During your labor, you’ll have access to a bathroom and a fully-stocked kitchen. We have all the equipment needed to monitor you and your baby throughout labor and delivery. If you want to have a water birth, we have a special large tub just for that purpose.
-
There are occasions when births require medical intervention for mother or baby. Trillium House is exactly 4.5 miles from Virginia Baptist Hospital, so we can get you there quickly, in the rare event that help is needed.
